Peach breakfast pot
This is my new number 1 way to start my day! Lovely in the summer, when peaches are at their best, but you could use other favourite fruit. The ingredients are a bit unexpected but do give it a go.
Many thanks to my friend Chris in Cologne, who sent me this recipe - he read it in the German newspaper, the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
You will need:
Dish
Knife
Chopping board
Tablespoon
Ingredients (for one serving):
1 peach (I like flat/ donut peaches as they are easier to cut)
About six tablespoons of Greek yoghurt (roughly 100g - could be more or less, depending on how hungry you are!)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon of honey
a tiny pinch of salt
To make:
Chop the peach into small bite-size pieces on a chopping board.
Put the yoghurt in your dish.
Put the peach pieces on top.
Drizzle the olive oil over the peaches.
Pour the honey over the peaches.
Finish by scattering the salt on top!
