Tiptree tea rooms

Maybe you recognise the famous small pots of jam and marmalade that come from Tiptree (Wilkin & Son), but did you know they run a string of cafes too in Essex and Suffolk?

Over a number of years, I’ve made it my mission to visit as many as possible! And I have to say that I’ve liked all of them. The first one I visited was the original one, at their jam factory in Tiptree, Essex (where they have a small museum too). Since then I’ve visited lots more, from riverside cafes to their urban tea room in Chelmsford.

I’ve found the staff very friendly and the food consistently very good. So I would recommend a visit (or two!) if you are in this part of the east of England!
